How to Use

How do I attach it?

Attaching Jerk-Ease® takes just a few seconds:

1. Clip one end to your dog’s collar or harness
   

2. Clip the other end to your leash

That’s it- you’re ready to walk!

Can it get wet?

Yes. Jerk-Ease® is designed for real outdoor use. Rain, puddles, and muddy trails are no problem. Just rinse or wipe clean if needed.

Can I attach it to a rope or yard line?

Jerk-Ease® is primarily designed for leash walking; we don’t recommend using it for yard lines as constantly dragging on the ground reduces its longevity. 

Can I use it on cats or other animals?

Jerk-Ease® is designed for dogs, but it may work for other leash-trained animals depending on their size and strength.

Sizing

What size do I need for my dog?

Our sizes are based mainly on your dog’s weight to ensure the right amount of stretch and shock absorption. If your dog is between sizes or a strong puller, sizing up can sometimes help provide more cushioning.

What if I buy the wrong size?

No worries. If the size doesn’t feel right, reach out and we’ll help you exchange it for a better fit.

What if my dog is bigger than 110 lbs?

Many owners of extra-large dogs find the Large size still works well, depending on their dog’s pulling strength. Some customers also use two extensions together for additional shock absorption.

Durability

How long does it last?

Jerk-Ease® uses high-quality elastic cord designed for repeated stretching, however it will eventually wear out. Its lifespan depends on things like:

• Your dog’s size and strength
  

• How often you walk
  

• Weather and outdoor conditions
  
  

Think of it like your favorite pair of running shoes: If you’re just doing a light jog on the weekends, they’ll last you a long time. If you’re training every day for a marathon, they’re going to wear out much quicker.

Is it chew-proof?

Jerk-Ease® is not chew-proof. If your dog likes to chew gear, we recommend supervising use and storing it out of reach when not in use.

Jerk-Ease® has been manufactured in the United States since 2004 by a small family business.

Can I use my FSA or HSA to buy this?

Most pet products are not typically eligible, but eligibility ultimately depends on your plan provider. If your provider does approve it, we'd love to hear!

What’s your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy. The product must be unused and in its original packaging. If you feel like you've received a defective product, we'll make it right. We do not replace products that have been chewed or used for purposes outside of our user guidelines.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Buyers are responsible for all shipping and import duties.
